Bryan Paul Alonso

I was led to Kula by the north star that is my teacher, Magi Pierce. Her wisdom and guidance have helped to shape my own style of teaching, and my way of being in the world. All beings are our teachers, and this practice helps us wake up to that, and there are not enough words to convey the gratitude that I feel for the Noble Ones that lead me down the path: Shinge Roko Sherry Chayat Roshi, Chigan Dokuro Roshi, Nikki Vilella, Rebecca Ketchum, and Genny Kapuler.

I am a reiki practitioner, a meditation guide, and a student of Zen Buddhism. A yogi. I see no separation between these practices and in my work I explore their interwoven nature and the freedom to be found dancing within and between those spaces.

I am an attentive and compassionate holder of sacred space. My patience and presence will allow you to be at ease in class, and I believe that’s the best place to challenge yourself from. It's my hope that the atmosphere of creativity, fluidity, and light-heartedness that I'm able to cultivate will allow you to connect with the more subtle inner energies- so that you can bring the peace you find within that interconnectivity outside the studio, into the world. I think it's sorely needed.
