Taylor Burkhead

I first found yoga at 12 years old in my home city of Las Vegas, NV. I felt a sense of belonging that I had never known, and I became instantly hooked. My practice ebbed and flowed as I moved to New York in 2018 to study at NYU. I struggled to find a studio that felt like home amidst the noise and chaos of the city. Until I found Kula! I walked up the (many) stairs of the SoHo studio for the first time and never looked back. I completed my 200 hour teacher training at Kula this spring, and I’m eager to be a forever student on and off the mat. Kula is truly a home for me. I hope to share that feeling with my students so they can find a home within themselves. You can expect mindful pranayama (breath), playful asana (movement), and a few giggles in my class! I encourage you to show up for yourself and hold space for your inherent joy, goodness, and gratitude.
