I have always been interested in the way my body has the ability to tell a story. I grew up studying ballet, and then studied improvisation and learned somatics, which both made room for my humanity in a way ballet never had. My movement practice grew richer as I began to discover the interplay between form and formlessness. When I found yoga, everything clicked into place. I began to open to the conversation between body and mind and found my spirit was speaking there too.
I received my 200hr training at Kula Yoga Project in 2019, became a Somatic Coach in 2021and a bodyworker in 2022. My most influential teachers and mentors include Nikki Vilellla, Alex Auder, Magi Pierce, Nikki Costello, Christian Burns and Alexandra Beller. Each of them have shown me how to inspire transformation in my students. I hold space for those I teach to find their authentic expression and be guided by their own inherent embodied wisdom. My classes combine creative sequencing with somatic practices and smart, alignment-based flow. I aim to cultivate mindfulness, curiosity and a sense of play in my students, to provide a container where they can connect with their bodies and challenge resistance to inform their capacities. Come to class and you will find nerdy technical Iyengar vinyasa, the breathiest breath work, my dancer sensibility and strength-based kinesthetics. I hold deep gratitude for all my teachers who have taught me what I know and traveled the path before me.
