Whether you are a yoga teacher looking or a dedicated practitioner, this retreat is the perfect way to level up your relationship to your practice.
For 4 full days we will gather in community with like-hearted folks in beautiful, rejuvenating Topanga Canyon. These will be jam packed days of study and practice - and we guarantee you will be transformed. (And probably a bit sore - this is where the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge come in!!). Whether you are a teacher looking to hone your teaching skills or a dedicated practitioner interested in a more nuanced experience of Kula-style yoga, this intimate retreat is the perfect way to level up your relationship to your practice.
Every morning and afternoon extended Kula Flow classes and workshops will be immersive practice sessions encompassing:
- the art of dynamic flow
- practical, applicable alignment and anatomy
- nuanced study of foundational and advanced asanas
- the power and adaptability of pranayama
- the healing practices of bandha and kriya
In between classes, Schuyler leads an optional 2.5 hour Teachers Forum. This is when we geek out on Kula-style teaching and when teachers have the opportunity to hone their personal teaching techniques. These sessions are open to all retreat participants, but they are specifically designed for teachers and teachers in training:
- individual feedback on teaching technique and strategies
- techniques for precision cuing
- refining hands-on assists
- elevating breath and music as teaching tools
(Retreaters are also welcome to take the afternoon off and hike, hit the beach, or explore all the other goodies that Topanga and Malibu have to offer.)
This intensive will leave your cup spilling over - with practice, teachings & community.
Important Notes:
This in-person intensive builds upon the yogic foundation established in Schuyler’s online 25-hour course, Form & Flow. If you have not taken the course, please reach out to Schuyler directly.
Note to TEACHERS: There are 8 slots available for personal teaching feedback - these will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. If interested, please
email Schuyler to secure your spot. These teachers are required to attend a virtual prep session on Sunday, May 11 from 2:00-4:00 PT.
