I started practicing yoga after college when I moved back home as a way to find community and stay active without going to the gym. I kept practicing yoga because of the magic that stayed with me when I left the studio and how it enriched the rest of my life. After many years of practice, I completed my 200 hour teacher training in a pre-pandemic 2020 at Kula Yoga Project where I continue to practice and study regularly. My classes are breath-focused, non-dogmatic, creatively sequenced and influenced by everything from the different seasons, something I've read, my students, and all that lands between. As a licensed social worker and psychotherapist, I utilize a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens when working with clients and always aim to incorporate elements of yoga philosophy into my therapeutic interventions; yoga is the special sauce to help heal many a mental and emotional tick while also satisfying the desire for a physical challenge. My goal as a teacher is to create a supportive environment for students to feel curious, held, and empowered. Come exactly as you are.
